The Pirate Marching Band Boosters (officially "Pirate Marching Band Boosters a NJ Nonprofit Corporation") is a non-profit organization made up of the parents, family and friends of marching band members at West Windsor Plainsboro High School South in Princeton Junction, NJ.
We volunteer our efforts to support high-school students in the Pirate Marching Band. We make sure that they have the equipment, show props, supplies, snacks, love, encouragement and all of the other things that go into a grueling, top-level marching band season and life-lasting experiences.
Sometimes it means loading or unloading a truck at a band competition. Sometimes it means standing up and screaming at the top of our lungs while ringing a cowbell. And, sometimes, it just means giving our son or daughter a hug and telling them they did a great job, regardless of whether or not they brought home the trophy.
And, sometimes it means making a donation so that the band can buy show shirts or props for this season's show.
Yes! We rely on the support of local businesses to help support marching band! If you have a business, you can support the band and earn a spot on the "Supporter Hall of Fame" on our homepage by making a donation!
You can also help just by showing up. Coming to watch the band perform is a great experience. It's fun to watch and easy to appreciate all of the hard work, skill and pageantry that goes into this discipline.
" Marching Band was a life-changing experience for me. In my freshman year, I was feeling overwhelmed and a bit out of place. In marching band, I found my closest friends and I will treasure that experience forever."
- Susan Smith, class of '21
